Fraser Valley MQG Retreat Update

The Fraser Valley Modern Quilt Guild‘s weekend retreat is coming soon and there have been a couple changes. The date has been changed from mid-January to February 3-5th. Because pedicures and massages will no longer be offered, the price has been reduced to a very reasonable $175! If you have some UFOs to finish up or new projects you’ve been hoping to start in the new year, why not join the FVMQG for a weekend of quilting?

If you’d like to register, you can get in touch with Charline Derksen of the FVMQG directly. If you have questions, you can also post them on the FVMQG’s very active facebook page.

The details:
When: Friday, February 3, 2012 (arrive after 6 p.m.) to Sunday, February 5, 2012 (leave by 4 p.m.)
Cost: $175 per person
Location: Camp Luther, 9311 Shook Road, Mission, BC V2V 7M2
Includes: 2 nights accommodation, all meals on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Snacks on Friday and Saturday nights, coffee, tea, water, juice are always available. We were very pleased with the menu last year. Two to three people share a room. Each room has one bathroom.
What to bring: all sewing equipment & materials, extension cords, irons & ironing boards (sharing please, not enough room for everyone to bring one!). All bedding, towels & toiletries.
Other: Camp Luther doesn’t allow alcohol or illegal drugs. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. They have a noise curfew between 11 pm – 7 am. No pets are allowed on site.
Prizes & Structure: We will be having lots of prizes – some pretty substantial ($100 gift certificates, etc). We don’t plan on having too much structure. That gives everyone a chance to work on their projects.

People can send Charline Derksen a cheque to: #17 – 33321 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford, BC V2S 2L6 or can email the money to me at: charline.derksen@ufv.ca When registering, let me know what your preference is for room sharing.
