We had such a lovely time at our outdoor guild meeting on July 15th that we thought we’d hold another event at the park! We’re inviting you (VMQG members and non-members alike) to an informal hand sewing gathering at Trout Lake Park on Tuesday the 30th of July. Do you have a quilt that needs binding? A cross stitch project? Some hand quilting to do? Bring your choice of project and come socialize with other summer sewists!

The Details
What: VMQG hand sewing gathering (perhaps we should call it a sew-out rather than a sew-in?)
When: 6:30-9:00pm, Tuesday, July 30th, 2013
What to bring to the meeting:
– your hand sewing project and tools (needle, thread, scissors, etc)
– a picnic blanket or lawn chair
– your name tag
– treats are welcomed, bring your own snacks to share!
Where: Grassy area near the covered area at Trout Lake (John Hendry) Park, Vancouver. This is the same location as our July guild meeting and, if we’re lucky, we may even hear some music again!

  1. What a great idea! I’ll try to make it–I can either do some sock-knitting or make a bit of incremental progress on the quilt that I started hand-quilting nine or ten years ago.
