Our May block lotto where once again we are echoing Amy Dame’s Vancouver Improv Challenge prompt, this time of the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The vertical and horizontal lines of the trees and bridge reminded me of our own Paul Krampitz’s tutorial for pick-up sticks blocks. Maybe there are a few of you who took his class on this technique.
The brief:
- Background in low volume print, 12.5″ square;
- Vertical lines in green print; and
- Horizontal lines in grey print.

Unlike my samples, Paul kept his sticks around 1″ as he told me they are easier to line up that way, and not jiggity like my samples. #quiltpolicebequiet
Trim off the rough edges and bring in – there will be a variety of sizes. The winner can piece it all together. One block = one chance to win all!
