With this being Quiltcon month I will be easy on you: four 3″-4″ borders to frame the starting block, two in adjacent solids, and two in adjacent pieced stripes. The direction and width of the stripes is up to you.
A paper version of what I’m describing.
Please stitch a scant 1/8th seam around the finished block to stabilize it for the next round.
Any questions, please contact me. Thanks!
Welcome to the third VMQG Round Robin! I will be your coordinator for this round and hope to use everything I have learned from being a participant and from my most esteemed predecessors, Felicity and Stacey Day.
This year we have 11 robins. If you are reading this and have not signed up, there is still time before the February meeting. This is when we will commence with the swapping of the centre blocks.
The centre blocks should be 12″-14″, either square or rectangle. We ask that you use your good fabric and do your best work. And you do, which is why the RR has been such a great success. Let’s continue to impress each other.
If you cannot make it to a meeting or getting your monthly challenge done, please let me know ASAP. You’ve got my number and I’m also on FaceBook and Instagram under my full name.
See you on February 15th!
With the December meeting comes the festive refreshment offerings that we hope to have at our next meeting… in two weeks! Please bring your favorite appetizer, tapas, finger-food, and/or canapes. Kindly RSVP me with your choice of celebratory edible.
Punch will be provided.
Looking forward to seeing you on December 14th!
