Greetings Guild Mates,
Most of 2020 was acclimatizing to Zoom meetings and settling into the rhythms of life as we now know them. Now that we have our bearings let’s get the block lotto going again in a different way.
The rules of Block Lotto 2021 are easy:
- make a block,
- put it in an envelope with the name of the block written on the back of the envelope,
- add your name and return address on the envelope, and
- address envelope to Lorna Shapiro and mail it to 2726 W. 38th Ave, Vancouver, BC, V6N 2W9.
Lorna will do the block lotto draws at the meetings so we can collectively cross our fingers again.
One type of block per envelope. If you want to send more than one block of the same pattern in a single envelope, then it will be drawn as one entry. One envelope = one chance to win the lot. This could mean a trip to the post office to buy some cute stamps.
I hope you will all be able to join in for the Tara Faughnan presentation at the January guild meeting because her colour sense is on-point. Then in February, we will start our own colour and value block lotto theme, with me doing the first block post to get you in the spirit and then I will be looking for member contributors for the following months.
Instagram is the guild’s preferred social media platform, so please use hashtag #vanmqgbl21 so we can easily find each other’s blocks.
Questions, comments, kickbacks. I’m here for you.
