Flower box blocks – say it three times really fast! And then get out your pretty pastels and low-volume prints and make some. They end up being 10.5″ each so the block lotto winner could come away with a good-sized top.
This month’s block lotto challenge is care of Lori Holt, the queen bee of the Bee in My Bonnet blog: http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.ca/2015/02/my-flower-box-quilt-block-tutorial-and.html?m=1
Lori’s palette is not too far off from ours’, but we are looking for sugary spring pastels with the low-volume fabric the same on all four sides. I found 1930’s reproduction prints fit the look we’re aiming for. Because isn’t it sometimes fun to indulge in some soppy sweet nostalgia?
