We are half-way there! The tops are taking shape and personality. Going forward I will leave it to your artistic eyes as to where you want to add the assigned rows. Please aim to continue building the tops evenly around the centre block.
Let’s inject some more pointy points into the mix with stars. Stars… with negative space. The type of star is your choice as there are so many out there to experiment with but give them space to breathe. Â Please make the section about 5″ wide.
And the twist: add a 1″ strip of solid fabric to the edge between your addition and the quilt top. This thin line is intended to define the space and echo the other long lines. Extra points if you can match it to a bright colour already in the top.
