2020 Winter Postcard Flurry

The Executive received a lot feedback after the Connected Project about how great members felt to get a surprise in the mail. It especially gave those that had been feeling isolated something to look forward to. In our recent Executive meeting, we came up with the idea to do a swap to bring back that happy feeling, to create some activity within the guild and to being a little extra joy this winter season.

We would like to unveil the 2020 Winter Postcard Flurry.

The postcard needs to be made with fabric, Winter themed and postcard sized (no bigger than 4.25” x 6”). Try to use elements of the modern aesthetic; playing with the use of negative space, alternate grid construction, improvisation, minimalism, bold geometric design, and/or modern traditionalism.

There is a great tutorial about how to make a post card by Sarah Ruiz Quilts on her website.
She also shows her amazing post cards on her Instagram account.
