No doubt like you, the Executive have been monitoring efforts to respond and control the spread of COVID-19. The COVID-19 situation is evolving rapidly, and our members health and safety is our priority. In this context, the Executive of the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild has made the difficult decision to cancel our March meeting. I know it’s a stressful situation we find ourselves in. The most important thing we can do is to stay calm. And there is nothing quite like a little sewing that helps us calm our worried minds – right?
We do have lots of news to share, and will do so via email and social media.
- Hold onto the block lotto blocks you’ve made, we’ll draw for them at our next meeting. And the next block lotto will be going up on the blog – watch for it!
- Niki will send a note out to the Robins. Initial thoughts are you can hold onto the project you have for another month.
- There will be a mini challenge announcement coming soon, and we’ll have bundles for sale. We are looking to set up a few pick-up locations for the bundles. Stay tuned for more information.
- Edenvale remains open, and the retreat is still a go. There is one spot left if you’d like to join the weekend of sewing. Elisabeth will keep retreater’s informed if anything changes.
As for the next meeting in April, we’ll keep monitoring the situation and keep you informed.
Thank you for your understanding.
