Lately blocks with a stripped element have been catching my eye. So, I’m taking that bit of inspiration to you all with a challenge to try this technique for yourselves.

We are visiting triangles again, this time with some sizeable flying geese blocks. For the samples I used the stitch and flip method and was happy with the results (and will make something else with the off-cuts).

This is a great opportunity to mine the scrap bin for fabrics to combine. I can’t be the only one who hangs onto the cute stuff waiting for the right moment.

Colour scheme: pink/pink & neutral strips and natural/unbleached cotton background.

Trim the rectangle of strips to 4.5″ x 8.5″ and the square corners will be 4.5″.

For every completed block you bring to the meeting, you get a ticket to win the lot. If there are many blocks, then we might even have two winners. As always, I look forward to seeing your interpretations!
