Back to squares! This month we are going to have some fun putting a spin on the simple four-patch block that makes it look like a lot more work than it actually is. I made eight of these in quick succession and could have kept going.

This block is great for practicing those nested seams. Lots of tutorials online.

Using 5″ squares (raid that collection of charm packs) select:
– two of the same solid colours, brights or saturated shades will work best
– one tone-on-tone or microprint
– one graphic/modern print, preferably of flowers or leaves

The easy-peasy tutorial that I used was courtesy of Bluprint, who made a modern version that I could appreciate: https://shop.mybluprint.com/quilting/article/disappearing-four-patch/

The block lotto operates on the basis that for every completed block you bring to the next meeting, you get a ticket to win them all. Or, if there are many, many blocks like we received at the last meeting (whoo hoo!), then we will divide the bounty between two winners.
