As we near the end of our year of exploring basic shapes, we are revisiting our old friend the classic snowball block. Link is embedded. We are modernizing this old chestnut with low volume prints for the snowballs and solid blue in a medium hue for the corners.

Please follow the instructions for the 6″ blocks, which means cutting your low volume snowball fabric 6.5″ and the solid medium blue background corners 2.5″. Trim to tidy but not too much as there is often variation in sizes and it can be easier for the winner to trim them to size later.

For those of you who are new to the guild, the block lotto works by for every block you make you get a ticket to win all the blocks that members have contributed. Sometimes if there are many blocks we will have two winners.
