VMQG members Megan Hanna and Dianne Semark present the proceeds of our fundraising, $1,163, from our Showcase Raffle Quilt sales to Mark Savard at Covenant House Vancouver, in support of their Art Therapy Program, and other program needs.
Covenant House Vancouver Quilt Donation VMQG members donated 15 quilts to Covenant House Vancouver. Some quilts were gifted to youths leaving Covenant House to live independently—we hope a beautiful hand made quilt will be a cozy, comforting part of the next phase of their lives. Some quilts remain at Covenant House for youths to use.
Lynn Valley LOVE Project A tragic attack occurred at the Lynn Valley Library in North Vancouver, BC, on March 27, 2021. A young woman lost her life, and six others were injured, some with long term injuries. The goal of the project is to bring healing and love into the space where this awful event occurred.
VMQG member, Berene Campbell designed the art installation, and banners were made in collaboration with many VMQG members.
